What are you smoking? : Pipes and Tobaccos Magazine

What are you smoking?

For the entertainment and edification of everyone, readers are invited to send photos and descriptions of their smoking experiences for inclusion in the magazine. You’re welcome to send photos of yourself smoking, the environment where you like to smoke, and the pipes and tobaccos that you’re enjoying. Try to include any pertinent information about your pipes, the tobacco you’re highlighting, or the environment and why it is enjoyable. Photos need to be high-resolution for magazine reproduction. (For print applications, website photos reproduce at the size of postage stamps, so large files are necessary.) We hope you’ll consider participating, and we look forward to seeing your submissions.

Kovalcik-what-are-you-smokingThis pipe was carved by Richard Mason, a member of my pipe club in southeastern Virginia. A sitter with straight grain, it’s a great smoker and is developing a nice patina. The Dunhill Nightcap, a present from my wife, will bring out the best in this pipe.

I’m about to crack open my last tin of McClelland 2002 Anniversary. Going to enjoy the first bowlful in a 2009 Bonfiglioli Christmas pipe.

This photo defines the life of a cop who adores fountain pens, motorcycles and pipes. I have a large collection of high-end pipes, but I find myself increasingly drawn to corncobs for their light weight, flavor and lack of pretension.
